Secretary’s report read, corrected and approved. Treasurers report read and approved.

Old Business

As of right now, it doesn’t look like the Club will be doing the ATV pull during the Pine County Fair this year, as there doesn’t seem to be enough time to do one what with the rearranging of different events.

Youth training class to be held on Saturday, April 26 at 9:00 am.  If you know of any youngsters who need to take the course, call Les Bloom at 320-629-3770 (NEW PHONE NUMBER!).

 New Business

Rudy discussed the rules and regulations that have been set forth for the Club atv pulls and mud runs. Check out  these and more on the ATV Club website. A budget was set for expenses for the upcoming atv pull/mud run - now with the additional expense of the liability insurance, the expenditures will be somewhat higher. If anyone knows of a business that would like to be a sponsor for these events, give Rudy a call at 320-629-7196. The Club is need of some rolls of orange plastic snow fence for these events - prices will be gotten from several different places. Fall Convention ATV pull and Mud run work sheets were passed around. The Club members will be up at the site on 2 different weekends - the first one to start setting up and getting everything ready and the second one for the actual event. Anyone wishing to help - contact Rudy Schmidt @ 320-629-7196.

Mark Mansavage stated that there were 2 dates available for the Spring ditch clean-up - Saturday April 19th and/or Saturday May 3rd. It was decided that Saturday April 19th would work best as May 3rd is ATVAM’s ATV Fair in Sauk Rapids, MN. All help is appreciated for the clean-up and is asked to meet at the dam out around Cross Lake at 9:00 am that morning. The more help there is, the less time it takes to get the job done!! And the ditches really haven’t been that bad since we started doing them.

Mike DeVine said that the Pine Riders Ambassador members would be working with those of the WRCW Club for this year, as neither club has many Ambassadors to go it alone right now. Hopefully we will get several more to accept this challenge and be able to take care of our trails ourselves next year. Talk to Mike at 651-492-1283 if you’d like to know more about this.

There were only a few that did the ride on March 8th to St Croix State Forest. They did note some clean-up and restoration issues that would have to be taken care of, mainly around the Parking areas and the Shelters. The Club has gotten the GIA monies for this trail system already, so it’s ours to take care of! A schedule for clean-up dates for both our trail systems will be set up and given to the members soon. Let’s all see if we can’t get out there and help a few times during the year, instead of leaving it for just a few good members to do!

BOARD MEETING notes

Brad Ammann from the local snowmobile club was guest speaker to the board and directors concerning some issues that have been brought to their clubs attention from some private land owners. It seems that some atv riders and snowmobilers have been tearing up some private hay fields out near Cedar Creek and Chengwatana. Brad was wondering if our club members would be willing to give some help to putting up some posts for fences to help deter this recklessness. He also thought it might be a good idea if the club Ambassadors were to go out there and stand guard and stop those who are doing the damage. Consensus was that the Ambassadors could not do any kind of enforcement that was being asked for, a DNR agent or local law enforcement member would be needed. But we will go help with the posts later this spring.

Hank Daniels presented the board and directors with a copy of the Articles of Incorporation that he has put together for proofreading and a date has been scheduled to get together again and discuss it.
