Old Business
Radar Run discussed - ice is lousy and not fit to race on, therefore the event will be held at Maverick’s east of Beroun on
Saturday, January 24, 2009. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. with radar runs starting at 11:00 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for Top Speeds of the Day for both ATV and Snowmobile. Vintage sleds are welcome to come and participate in the events, too. There are several very nice prizes to be given away during the event, all thanks to the many sponsors! Motion by Josh Mohr & seconded by Rick Nordahl to approve the monies for the Top Speed of the Day; accepted and approved. PA system is needed for the event; motion by Rick N. & seconded by Scott Cornelius to approve monies of $500.00 to purchase a system; approved. Radios with earmuffs were discussed but tabled until a later date. Rick N. will get information on different styles.
Cost for waterproof first aid kits will be approximately $50.00 each; motion by Rick N. & seconded by Brett Peterson to accept; approved to have Marvin Monster purchase them.
The 501c3 paperwork looks very good according to Pangerl’s. A four-year financial statement was needed to finish it all. Deb Peterson spent several hours on getting the report ready and she did an excellent job! Motion by Rick N. to accept & seconded by Mark Mansavage; approved.
Les Bloom brought a rough draft of the proposition to be delivered to the
County Board of Commissioners for the right to ride the far right side of the roadway(shoulder). Motion to accept by Paul Janssen & seconded by Hank Daniels; approved.
New Business
Discussion of setting up a PayPal account and also separate email accounts for some of the Board and Officers.
Notice received by the Club insurance company that the annual rates will be increasing in February. Also that the Club needs to submit event dates for the upcoming year. Motion by Deb P. & seconded by Brett P.; approved.
Hank Daniels brought in two samples of safety chaps for use with the chainsaws.
Motion by Wendy Bloom & seconded by Jenny Mansavage to purchase both; approved by all.
Member-of-the-Month:
motion by Hank Daniels to nominate Deb P. for all her hard work on the 501c3 financial statement & seconded by Scott C.; approved by all. Congratulations to Deb P.
Can we come up with something different other than the Member-of-the-Month?

Saturday, January 24th: Pine Riders ATV Club Radar Run. Chengwatana Country Club/Maverick’s east of
Beroun, MN. Registration at 8:00 a.m. & runs start at 11:00 a.m. Cost to be $5.00 per run or 3 runs for $10.00. Tuesday, February 3rd : Board meeting @ 6:00 p.m. & General Membership meeting @ 7:00 p.m. in Beroun at the Pine City/Hinckley Flames Club room.
Saturday, February 21st: ATV Youth Training Instructor Class given by the DNR in Sandstone, MN
